On the morning of May, 31st, the grand JCID Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2019 was held in the gymnasium. All the teaching staff, students attended this school event with over 80 parents of the graduates coming from a far. Mr. Xu, deputy president of JCID, addressed 81 graduates from middle school and high school at the beginning of the meeting. In his speech, he fully recognized our graduates’ contributions to their Alma mater’s development. He hoped they can set up their goals, and make every effort to achieve their ambitions; meanwhile, he hoped they could keep curiosity for the pursuit of knowledge, keep passion about reading and life, show sincerity to others and keep upbeat at any time; on top of that, he expected our graduates to learn the value of tolerance. After that, Ms. Xiong jin, homeroom teacher of C12-1 and Matthew Holding delivered their speech to the graduates on behalf of all the teachers. Barbie Zheng, a graduate of E12-1, Ye jiayi, a graduate of C12-1 as well as the father of Li yongxuan took turns to speak, expressing their gratitude and a sentiment of reluctance to leave. In the graduation ceremony, our graduates gave an electric drum to the Alma mater as a gift in the hope that the graduates of 2019 can leave a deep impression on their followers’ minds like the long-lasting sound of the drum, and move forward without letup, overcome all the obstacles on their way until they climb onto the top of the peak in life. In the process of awarding, 6 students were awarded with excellent student prize, 5 students won the honorable student prize, and 4 students received the award for their outstanding performance. Then, when the music started, Mr. Dong, director of JCID presented the diplomas to the middle school graduates. When Mr. Xu, deputy principal of JCID presented the diplomas to every high school graduate one after another with congratulations, the atmosphere of the ceremony culminated. Finally, graduates presented us well-prepared performances, displaying their talents and styles for the last time on the stage of JCID. When the graduation ceremony was over, all the teaching staff and graduates took photos together outside the gym, which brought a complete conclusion to the learning journey for the graduating class of 2019. The graduation ceremony is a summary for yesterday, moreover, it carries expectations for tomorrow. The graduates of 2019 are about to sail on a new voyage, and we are convinced that they will live up to the expectations, carry forward the fighting spirit and courage, and create a better future.
